Two hundred years before the adoption of The American Constitution, Statutes of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania were approved in our country, the laws that served as a legal basis of the state. Fifteenth and sixteenth centuries became the golden age in the history of our country, rapid development of economy and politics led to prosperity. Those were times when the creative potential was realized in the sphere of art, science and political options. Literary works, paintings and sculptures of bygone days that remained are thoroughly put together in numerous museums. The majority of cultural heritage is devoted precisely to this period; several big architectural structures remained. It is a pity that there are few evidences of the golden age remained, but we remember our history and it evokes pride and admiration of descendants of those who lived in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
