Day 1

Arrival in “Minsk-2“ International Airport. Transfer to the hotel with guide assistance. Check-in at the 3-star hotel in the center of the city. Time for leisure. Attending service in the Holy Trinity Cathedral. Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Minsk including architectural, historical and cultural monuments of the 17th – 18th centuries, historic part of the city – Trinity Suburb and orthodox churches. Visit to the Museum of Old Belarusian Culture, featuring weaving, embroidery, old icons and wood-carving. Visit to the Local Arts Museum with interesting icon-painting section, meeting with representatives of Minsk Diocese. Dinner.
Day 3
Early breakfast. Departure for Polotsk (252 km) – the oldest Belarusian city (founded in 862) and the center of old Slavic history and culture. Polotsk is famous for its 11th cent. St. Sophia Cathedral, Convent of St. Ephrosinia of Polotsk (12th cent.) a benefactress and matron Saint of Belarus, Saint-Ephrosinia Church (12th cent.) with beautiful frescoes and where the Cross of Ephrosinia – the national heritage is kept. Among other objects worth seeing is the Museum of Book-printing – one of the best in Europe. “The Stone of Boris“ – the example of old Slavic culture, its weight is 25 tons; organ show in St. Sophia Cathedral. Tour of Polotsk, including all above-mentioned objects. Departure for Minsk. Dinner.
Day 4
Breakfast.
Tour to the Khatyn Memorial (60 km) erected on the site of the village of Khatyn – one of the 186 Belarusian villages burnt to ashes by the Nazis during World War II. On the way back visit to the Orthodox Churches in the town of Logoysk. Visit to Raubichy Folk Arts and Crafts Museum, displayed in the former Krestogorskaya Church. Here you can see folk costumes, fine fabrics, articles made of straw, pottery, weaving, icon-painting. Farewell dinner with folk-show. Departure for Minsk. Dinner.

Breakfast. Transfer to the Airport for your departure flight. 


Itinerary 2: Minsk – the Monastery of Zhirovitchy – Minsk (5 days/ 4 nights)
Day 1
Arrival in “Minsk-2“ International Airport. Transfer to the hotel with guide assistance. Check-in at the 3-star hotel in the center of the city. Meeting with Company management. Time for leisure. Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Minsk, including architectural, historical and cultural monuments of the 17th and 18th cent., historic part of the city – Trinity Suburb and orthodox churches. Day 3
Breakfast. Departure for The Monastery Of Zhirovitchy (190 km). It is known since the 15th century as a place for orthodox pilgrims. Visit to the Monastery: Holy Monastery Assumption (17th cent.), the Convent Of The Nativity Of The Virgin, the Theological Seminary. Joint service and meal. Late return to Minsk. Dinner.
Day 4

Day 3

Sightseeing tour of Nesvizh, including the Palace and Castle Ensemble, founded in the 16-th cent. and built by Italian architect Jan Maria Bernardino, Corpus Dei Roman Catholic church (the 16-th cent.), built also by Bernardino, a patrimonial burial-vault for the Radzivills, Slutsk Gate (the 16-th cent.), Town Hall (the 16-th and the 17-th cent.), Castle Gate Tower (the 16-th cent.), Benedictine monastery (the 17-th and the 18-th cent.). Day 3
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Pinsk, including St. Francis Catholic Church and monastery (the 16-th and 18-th cent.), Jesuit Collegiums (the 17-th cent.), Karl Baromey Catholic Church (the 18-th cent.), St. Barbara church (the 18-th cent.). Meeting with members of Catholic community. Lunch. Departure for Grodno (310 km) – the city of Belarus , founded in the 11-th century and ranking today as the city number one in its authentic planning & having a lot of historical monuments. Check-in at 3-star hotel in the center of the city attending the service in the Roman-Catholic church. Dinner.
Day 4
Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Grodno, including Old Castle (the 14-th cent.), New Castle (the 18-th cent.), Jesuit Catholic church (the 17-th cent.) with a rich carved altar, ensembles of numerous cloisters and churches. Meeting with Roman-Catholic Community. Lunch. Departure for Minsk (founded in 1067) – the capital of Belarus (300 km). Check-in at the hotel. Dinner.
Day 5
Early breakfast. Departure for Budslav (156 km) – place for catholic pilgrimage since the 16-th cent. Sightseeing tour of Budslav, including Bernadine Catholic church where the unique wooden altar is preserved and Sacred Icon of Budslav God Mother, declared the patron of Belarus by the Pope of Rome in 1992, is being kept. Meeting with Catholic Community. Departure for Minsk (156 km). Sightseeing tour of Minsk with accent on Catholic churches and places. Attending the service in the Catholic Church. Farewell dinner.

Day 2

Sightseeing Tour of Minsk (founded in 1067), including the areas of the former ghetto – one of the largest ones on the territory of the former USSR, where the Jewish prisoners not only from Belarus, but from western European countries were kept, “Yama” memorial dedicated to the Jews, killed during World War II, meeting with Minsk Jewish community, visiting Jewish school and synagogue. Day 3
Breakfast. Departure for the town of Mir (110 km from Minsk), famous for a world-known Yeshiva, functioned in Mir from 1617 to 1939. Sightseeing tour of Mir, including the 16-th century castle - one of the biggest castles-fortresses of the Eastern Europe, a complex of cold and heated Synagogues, Jewish shops and dwelling houses. During World War II a Jewish ghetto was situated in Mir within the territory of Mir castle. Departure for Slonim (110 km) a typical old Belarusian town, where Jewish population prevailed before World War II (75%). Sightseeing tour of Slonim, including the 17-th century Synagogue – the only Synagogue in Belarus, where the whole interior is presented, the 19-th century Synagogue, the 18-th and 19-th cent. Jewish housing areas and the restored Jewish cemetery. Departure for Motol settlement (143 km), where in 1874 Khaim Weizman – the first President of Israel – was born. Arrival at Motol. Accommodation in the local hotel (accommodation in the families may be discussed). Dinner with Folk-show.
Day 4
Breakfast. Tour of Motol, including places connected with Khaim Weizman’s life. In the evening - departure for Pinsk (45 km). Check-in at the hotel. Dinner.
Day 5
Breakfast. The whole-day stay in Pinsk, the old Belarusian city founded in 1097. Sightseeing tour of Pinsk, including Catholic Church (16-th and 17th cent.), Franciscan Monastery (16-th and 18-th cent.), the Jesuit College (17-th cent.), visiting places where Khaim Weizman and Golda Meir, the first Prime-Minister of Israel used to work and study, visiting Synagogue, meeting with Pinsk Jewish Community. Day 6

Itschak Volozhiner made the city world-famous as representatives of many countries of Europe, Asia, America and Africa got there education there. Tour of Volozhin, including the Yeshiva building still having the last-century school image, visiting an old Jewish cemetery, meeting with local Jews. Departure for Vishnevo (23 km), a birthplace of Naum Goldman (1895) – one of the World Jewish Congress founders and of Shimon Peres (1923) – the former Prime-minister of Israel and Nobel Prize Winner. Departure for the village of Golshany (16 km), where one can see Jewish residential quarters of late 19-th – early 20-th century, which are completely genuine. The museum of Local Lore, displaying the history of Golshany and Jewish community. Departure for Krevo (23 km), a small town known for its first built castle in Belarus in 1338. The Synagogue building is preserved. Return to Minsk (120 km). Walking-tour around the Trinity Suburb (19-th cent.)

The city is known for famous, known all over the world artist, Marc Chagall, who was born there in 1887, lived there, worked there, met his love there and died in 1985 in France. The tour includes the art-center of Marc Chagall, where his works are displayed and the House-Museum of Marc Chagall, where Chagall’s family used to live, presenting the furniture and atmosphere of the beginning of the 20-th century, meeting with Vitebsk Jewish community. Time permitting, visit to the Estate-Museum of Ilya Ephimovitch Repin, the famous Russian artist, who used to stay there during summer (1892-1901) (16 km). Departure for Minsk (278 km).
